In 2016, eight community organizations in the Greater Baldwinsville area came together to discuss the creation of a shared community online calendar.

In 2018 – 2019 the calendar initiative was rolled into the Baldwinsville community strategic plan that was facilitated by staff from Rotary International and the Baldwinsville Public Library. The strategic planning group brought together a wide array of community organizations and civic groups to discuss how best to promote and serve the community.

An action plan was created to develop a “Single Source of Truth” in the form of a website about all things Baldwinsville, including a community calendar and a directory of services.

The project was disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic. In early 2022, staff from PAC-B TV, Baldwinsville’s public access television station, approached library and Rotary staff about assuming the development and management of the community calendar project.

With the blessing of the project facilitators, PAC-B has undertaken the creation of the BvilleBuzz.com website to provide an important and useful service to the community and to fulfill the project’s objectives.
